Ich habe kaum ein Land bereist, das so vielfältig ist wie Kroatien. Von den schönen bergischen Küstenabschnitten bis hin zu den Gebirgsdörfern im Norden des Landes lassen sich zahlreiche interessante Orte finden. Die Düfte der Nadelbäume und Büsche entlang der Küsten sind atemberaubend. In der Nähe der imposanten Wälder im Landesinneren findet man viele versteckte Anwesen. Diese sind umgeben von Eichen, Buchen und Kastanien. Einige Gegenden erinnern daher stark an die mitteleuropäischen Wälder. Fernab der Mautstraßen lohnt es sich das Navi auszuschalten und durch die abgelegenen Dörfer und die Natur zu fahren. Allerdings gilt auch in diesem Land: Vorsicht vor Landminen in nicht erschlossenen Gebieten!

I have rarely traveled to a country that is as diverse as Croatia. From the beautiful mountainous coastline to the mountain villages in the north of the country, numerous interesting places can be found everywhere. The scents of the conifers and bushes along the coast are breathtaking – in a good way. There are many hidden properties close to the dignified forests inland. These are surrounded by oaks, beeches, and chestnuts. Some areas are therefore very reminiscent of the Central European forests. Far away from the toll roads, I highly recommend turning off the navigation system and driving through the remote villages and nature. But the following also applies in this country: Be highly aware of landmines in undeveloped areas!
