Pavilion at Sukhumskaya Mountain

Wissenswertes

Facts

This Soviet pavilion towers 160 meters above the capital city of Abkhazia Sukhumi on Mount Bagrat. It was part of a well-kept park and was built in the style of the Stalinist empire. The park was created between 1949 and 1951 and consisted of over 100,000 ornamental plants. Today only the picturesque panorama remains, which I was able to experience from the ivy-covered pavilion over the city of Sukhumi.
