Dieses komplett überwucherte Hotel, steht in Sochumi, die Hauptstadt Abchasiens. Der Kurort, der für seine Schwefelbäder bekannt ist, die schon zu den Zeiten der Römer genutzt worden sind, beherbergt zahlreiche Hotels und Sanatorien. Doch seit dem Zusammenbruch der Sowjetunion und dem Krieg hat die Wirtschaft des Landes stark gelitten und der Tourismus brach ein. Viele Hotels, so auch dieses, stehen deshalb bis heute leer. Ein Investor hat das Grundstück jedoch vor kurzem gekauft und plant den Bau einer neuen Hotelanlage.

This completely overgrown hotel is located in Sukhumi, the capital of Abkhazia. The spa which is known for its sulfur baths, which were already used in the Romans time, is home to many hotels and sanatoriums. However, since the collapse of the Soviet Union and the war, the country’s economy has suffered greatly and tourism fell rapidly. Many hotels, including this one, are still empty today. However, recently an investor bought the property and is planning to build a new hotel complex.
